2025 Undervalued QBs

Another year and another season of undervalued QBs that could take your team to the next level. Last year, our list of undervalued QBs included Joe Burrow, who was going as QB7, Jayden Daniels, who was going as QB12, and Baker Mayfield, who was going as QB22. They finished as QB3, QB4, and QB5. We all know the top QBs that are coming off the board, but we want to look for value. This way, you can stack your team with talent at other positions early and find a gem at QB in later rounds. Here is the list of undervalued QBs in your 2025 fantasy draft:

Michael Penix Jr. – Would I go all in on Michael Penix Jr.? No. However, I feel like he has shown enough to stash on the bench just in case he has a breakout season. With a going rate of QB25, you can likely pick him up with your last pick and hope for the best. He likes to take shots, has solid talent surrounding him, and will have a lighter strength of schedule.

Baker Mayfield – Mayfield once again finds himself on this list and is currently going as QB8. Is the value going to be as good as last year? No. However, he has the potential to finish in the top 5 QBs again and some people are still hesitant to pull the trigger on Mayfield. With offensive weapons like Mike Evans, Bucky Irving, Emeka Egbuka, Cade Otton, and a returning Chris Godwin, it’s hard to not be optimistic about the potential in the offense. Although Offensive Coordinator Liam Coen left this offseason, hopefully there will be some continuity with Josh Grizzard, who was the pass game coordinator during Mayfield’s career year.

Dak Prescott – 4,516 Passing Yards and 36 TDs were Daks passing numbers…in 2023. He finds himself coming off an injury and is with a new head coach. If Dak can stay healthy, I feel like he surpasses his current QB15 ranking. He is currently being drafted between Drake Maye and J.J. McCarthy, and I feel like he ends well ahead of both of those players. With talented WRs like CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens, he will have no trouble finding open targets. If you are the last one to take a QB, I’d feel comfortable with Dak, especially if you can pair him with another QB that can stay healthy.

Jared Goff – Goff finished the season last year as QB6 and is currently going as QB20. The only reason he should be this low and behind guys like Anthony Richardson, J.J. McCarthy, and Drake Maye is the impact of Ben Johnson leaving. New offensive coordinator John Morton should be more than capable of guiding Goff to another year finishing inside the top 10 for QBs, especially with weapon like Gibbs, St. Brown, Williams, and LaPorta.
